Our Story
About Our Story
Fields and Flowers Child Care didn't start with a business plan — it started with a calling. And that calling began at home. I'm a mom first and always, and I learned early on that in order to show up fully in my work, my kids had to be loved and cared for. When they were settled, safe, and thriving, I could thrive too. That personal truth became the heartbeat of everything Fields and Flowers is built on.
After years working in and around early childhood education, the path to opening our doors on July 1, 2024 felt less like a decision and more like a direction I was meant to follow. I believe that caring for children is one of the most meaningful things we can do, and that belief is woven into everything we do here.
Located in West Bend, Wisconsin, Fields and Flowers was built on the idea that every child deserves a place where they feel safe, seen, and celebrated. We're licensed to serve up to 67 children and are proud to hold a 3-star YoungStar rating — and we're always working to raise the bar. Quality isn't a checkbox for us; it's a commitment we renew every single day.
I know that choosing child care is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and I don't take that trust lightly. Our team is made up of dedicated, caring professionals who show up not just to do a job, but to build relationships — with your children and with your family. We're here for the whole journey, not just the drop-off and pick-up.
I'm grateful for every family who has walked through our doors, and for the community that has welcomed us. Fields and Flowers is more than a child care center — it's a place where little ones grow, explore, and flourish, and where families always feel at home.
Our Child Care Philosophy
At Fields and Flowers Child Care, we believe that play is the most powerful way for a child to learn. We hold a deep respect for the unique journey of every child, recognizing that growth happens in individualized patterns and timing.
Our daily interactions and curriculum are intentionally shaped by each child’s:
Unique personality and learning style
Personal interests and natural curiosity
Cultural and family background
Developing logic and problem-solving skills
By centering our care on these core values, we ensure that every child feels seen, respected, and supported as they blossom into their full potential.
